Inner healing
Healing for the soul, not only the body.
We are spirit, soul and body. Inner healing is prayer ministry for the soul: the mind, the will and the emotions. Old wounds, lies we’ve believed and memories that still hurt can keep us from the freedom Jesus paid for.
In a Rooted session, members of our prayer team listen with you, pray with you and invite the Holy Spirit to bring truth, healing and peace to the places that need it.

Rooted is prayer ministry, not professional counseling or therapy. If you need medical or mental-health care, we’ll gladly help you find it.

Who is Rooted for?
Rooted is for anyone dealing with hurts of the heart, family wounds or continual anxiety, or who grew up in trauma. You don’t have to be a member of Ellijay City Church.
Where do we meet, and how long is a session?
Sessions are held in Room 105 on the first floor of Ellijay City Church, 443 Pleasant Grove Rd, Ellijay. A session usually lasts 2–4 hours, so plan to give it unhurried time.
Is it confidential?
Yes. Everything shared during a Rooted session is held in strict confidence. Our leadership, pastoral staff and Rooted team members are committed to protecting your privacy, maintaining confidentiality and honoring the trust you place in us, and will not disclose what you share without your consent. Confidentiality has limits: information may be shared, only to the extent necessary, when there is a reasonable concern that you or another person is at risk of serious harm; when abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person or vulnerable adult is disclosed or suspected; or when disclosure is otherwise required by law. Rooted is a prayer ministry and is not a substitute for licensed professional counseling or medical care.
Does it cost anything?
No. Rooted is a ministry of Ellijay City Church and is offered freely. If you would like to help the ministry continue, gifts are welcome but never expected: give in the Church Center app and choose Rooted from the fund list, or write “Rooted” on the memo line of a check.
How is Rooted different from Fresh Start?
Fresh Start is a court-approved recovery and discipleship program that meets Sundays at 2:00 PM. Rooted is one-on-one prayer ministry for inner healing. Many people are helped by both. Learn about Fresh Start.
